Skywalker constructed his own lightsaber after losing his father's in a duel with the Sith Lord Darth Vader. It was modeled on the third lightsaber of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, though its kyber crystal emitted a green plasma blade unlike the blue produced by Kenobi's. Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber, also known as Luke Skywalker's lightsaber or Luke Skywalker's second lightsaber, was a Jedi lightsaber constructed by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker during the Galactic Civil War. Indeed, you are powerful as the Emperor has foreseen." ―Darth Vader, examining Luke Skywalker's lightsaber These could significantly impact how Cal’s fate in the following Star Wars Jedi games would play out, but they are great approaches to the development of the story – and perhaps even introduce a new playable character to replace him." I see you have constructed a new lightsaber. Alternatively, players could witness a disastrous outcome to his relationship with Merrin that could send him on a darker path, if not becoming a complete villain or simply dying off. If so, he would be treading the same steps as Ahsoka. Coincidentally, that would have been foreshadowed by the aforementioned choice of lightsaber color among most of the players.Ĭal could become something of a Rebel leader and member of the Hidden Path, which is dedicated to protecting those who are hunted by the Empire. ![]() It is possible that Cal Kestis’ fate after Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is to become a Gray Jedi. She is unaffiliated with the Jedi and the Sith and operates as an independent Force-sensitive Rebel leader. Ahsoka is one such Gray Jedi, even if she does not proclaim it. This group of Force-sensitive warriors is not evil per se, but they are ready to commit evil deeds and defy the traditional Jedi Order with the goal of achieving the greater good for all. The betrayal of his companion Bode sheds light on the fact that not everything under the Empire’s rule is completely good or evil. With his attempts to fight back against the Empire’s dictatorship, Cal has seen himself in situations in which he does not comply with the traditional teachings. There are other indications that Cal Kestis may be headed down the path of the Gray Jedi rather than the traditional one. The animated series Rebels does not have a direct connection to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but much of the lore and some of the characters across all media is shared. In the Clone Wars series, Ahsoka left behind the Jedi Order in an arc that portrays the middle ground between good and evil. ![]() She can easily be considered a Gray Jedi, for that matter. According to Star Wars Rebels’ co-creator Dave Filoni in and episode of Rebels Recon, the white lightsabers that Ahsoka Tano uses are a reflection of the path she chose: neither Jedi nor Sith. ![]() ![]() While the color is merely an option for players, this coincidence also seems to point to where the hero is headed in the future. The white lightsaber color in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor could have an implicit meaning that foreshadows Cal's fate in the upcoming games. ![]()
